About
5KPlayer is a free media player for Mac that plays 4K and 8K videos, including HEVC, AV1, HDR, and 360° VR formats, as well as MP3, AAC, FLAC, and other audio files. It uses hardware acceleration (NVIDIA CUDA, AMD, Intel QSV) to decode and render video with lower CPU and GPU usage, and it includes a built-in internet radio player and a media library where users can organize videos, audio, and playlists. The app can rotate and flip videos and supports subtitles.
The software also works as a wireless streamer. It supports AirPlay for screen mirroring and streaming, and it acts as a DLNA controller, renderer, and server for sending media to compatible devices such as smart TVs, PlayStation, and Xbox. It can also record the screen at up to 4K.
In addition, 5KPlayer can download videos and audio from more than 300 sites, including Facebook, Vimeo, and Dailymotion, and convert downloaded content to MP3 or AAC.
