About
Ableton Live Lite is a fresh and easy way to write, record, produce and perform your own songs on Mac or Windows. It comes bundled with many hardware products for free, and its license never expires. Live Lite serial numbers are not sold separately; they are included with certain hardware devices and apps, such as Ableton Note, and users must authorize their copy with a valid serial and an Ableton account.
On Mac, Live 12 Lite requires macOS 11 Big Sur or higher, an Intel Core i5 processor or Apple Silicon, 8 GB of RAM, and a 1280x800 display. A Core Audio compliant audio interface is recommended, along with an internet connection for authorization. The basic installation needs about 3 GB of disk space (8 GB free recommended), and up to 76 GB more if you want the additional sound content. Owners of any older version of Live Lite can upgrade to Live 12 Lite for free without a new serial number.
