Ableton Live Suite is a music-making application built around creative freedom and experimentation. Live 12 adds MIDI Transformations and MIDI Generators for reshaping and generating MIDI ideas, along with Keys and Scales features for working within a selected scale and support for custom tuning systems that can be used with Live's devices and any MPE-capable plugin or hardware. Its editing tools include keyboard and mouse operations for splitting, joining, and filling notes, plus a Note Utilities panel with options such as Fit to Scale, Humanize, and Add Intervals.

The suite also includes new instruments and effects for sound design. Meld is an MPE-capable synthesizer with two oscillators and a modulation matrix, Roar is a saturation and coloring device with multiband, serial, and parallel configurations, and Granulator III offers expressive granular synthesis with real-time audio capture. Live 12.4, a free update for Live 12 users, adds Link Audio and updated devices.
