ActionClip is a Mac app that shows a floating action menu when you select text anywhere. You can copy, translate, or convert the selected text, ask local or connected AI, or run your own workflows. It includes 42 built-in actions, and you can pin, enable or disable, reorder, and group them. Three UI themes are available, along with character and word counts for any selection.
You can also create custom actions using JavaScript text transformations, reusable AI prompts, explicit terminal commands, AppleScripts, or link creation. An AI action builder can turn a plain-language description into a saved action with its prompt, inputs, icon, and result behavior, which you can test before saving. For AI, you can use on-device Apple Intelligence on supported Macs, or connect external providers such as OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini with your own API keys. Ollama is also supported, for downloaded local models or Ollama Cloud.
ActionClip is a native Swift app for macOS 15.0 or later, under 25 MB in size. It is free to try with 30 actions per day. Lifetime licenses are available: Individual for 1 Mac at $12, Family for up to 2 Macs at $19, and Team for up to 5 Macs at $35. The early-bird pricing applies to a limited number of licenses.
