About
The Adobe DNG Converter is a Mac app that converts camera-specific raw files from supported cameras into the more universal DNG (Digital Negative) raw format. Converting to DNG makes your files easier to work with across software, and the app also provides backward compatibility, letting the latest camera files be used in older versions of Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, After Effects, and Photoshop Elements.
To use it, download the app for macOS, open the downloaded file, and double-click the executable to install it, following the onscreen instructions. The app is installed in your Applications folder. The installer also copies a set of color profiles that the converter needs in order to function properly.
The app requires macOS Ventura (version 13) or later and a multicore Intel processor (2 GHz or faster with SSE 4.2 or later and 64-bit support) or an Apple M1 or later processor.
