About
AgentIDE is a native macOS app for running coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex in parallel. Agents run as a sandboxed non-admin macOS user separate from yours, with no access to your home directory, tokens or environment variables, so you can give them shared repositories while keeping your personal files and GitHub credentials private. Each task gets its own Git worktree, letting you run agents across multiple repositories at once and see which are working, finished or waiting for you in a single window.
You stay in control of sensitive actions. You can review diffs in the app, request human review on GitHub, or get AI feedback from a fresh agent, Copilot or CodeRabbit, and you control signing, pushing and pull requests. On the happy path, you can move from a GitHub issue prompt through code review comments and failing CI to a merged pull request, entirely by clicking in the app.
AgentIDE is free and open source under the AGPLv3 licence, requires Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later, and installs with Homebrew. It builds on sandvault for user separation and macOS sandboxing, herdr for persistent agent sessions, gh for pull requests and ripgrep for search.
