About
Airfoil is a Mac app that streams any audio playing on your computer across your network. It can send music from services like Spotify and Pandora, or web-based audio from Safari or Chrome, to a wide range of devices, including Apple TV, HomePod, Google Chromecast, Sonos devices, and Bluetooth speakers. Multiple outputs can play in sync, and Speaker Groups let you send audio to several speakers with one click, whether you want a single group for the whole house or separate zones.
Airfoil offers features such as auto-transmit on launch, a silence monitor that can disconnect when silent audio is streaming, a built-in equalizer, and metadata support that shows track titles and album art on compatible outputs. It can also run exclusively in the menu bar. The free companion app, Airfoil Satellite, extends the setup by letting you stream to other Macs, PCs, iOS, and Android devices, remotely control Airfoil, and receive audio from iOS devices.
Airfoil is available as a free trial with limitations, and a purchased license key unlocks the full version.
