Airtool 2 is a Mac app for capturing Wi-Fi packets using your Mac's built-in Wi-Fi adapter. Captures can be started and stopped from the menu bar and opened automatically in Wireshark, with options to choose channels and width, slice data frames, limit or rotate capture files, and upload captures automatically to CloudShark or Packets.
For more advanced setups, Airtool 2 supports remote captures from a Linux sensor such as the WLAN Pi, merging several sensors into one capture file, and multi-channel capture using an Oscium Nomad or Hamina Clip. With a compatible USB dongle it can also capture Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy packets, and it can record packet traces from iPhone and iPad devices.
Airtool 2 requires macOS 13.5 or later and is offered with a 3-day free trial. It is priced at US$29.99, or US$164.99 as a bundle with WiFi Explorer Pro 3.
