About
AmpStamp is an audio processing tool built on true component models of vintage amplifiers and effects, with a library of speaker cabinets and reverbs. Unlike captured snapshots, its models respond to every knob the way the original hardware would. The goal is to recreate guitar tones heard on classic albums and then go beyond what the original hardware allowed.
The signal chain includes a Compressor, a Pedalboard of up to four pedals, and an amplifier and cabinet section where you can combine up to two cabinets and adjust their blend. Ambience effects, such as studio room sounds and plate reverb, can be shaped with high and low pass filters and pre-delay. A Floor Controller lets you change sounds and assign its four knobs and switches and expression pedal to control the rest of the chain, with MIDI support for hands-free control. The TU101 Strobe Tuner is built in and free, with offset tunings available.
AmpStamp runs as a standalone app or as an Audio Unit (AUv3) extension, and it is also available for iPad and iPhone. It supports 44.1, 48, 96, and 192kHz sampling rates and provides stereo output. The app is free to download and offers in-app purchases. An inexpensive subscription provides access to all current products and future releases.
