About
Antinote is a Mac scratchpad for quick, temporary notes, built to replace the sticky-note clutter on your desktop. It offers plain-text editing with formatting stripped on paste, checklists you can check off with a keyword, auto-shrinking links, and contextual math with unit conversions (including crypto), reactive variables for custom calculators, and tools to sum, average, and count. You can also convert a dragged screenshot into text, set a stopwatch, countdown, or pomodoro timer, and export notes to Apple Notes, Obsidian, Bear, or a txt file.
You can customize Antinote with 14 themes, native translucency, custom shortcuts and keywords, and a Theme Maker for your own designs or community themes from GitHub. It can run from the Dock, the menu bar, or a dropdown, can be summoned with the ⌥A global hotkey, and can show over fullscreen apps. The app is for macOS 14 and later, with translucent mode requiring macOS 15.
Antinote costs $5 as a one-time purchase and includes lifetime updates. Notes are stored locally on your Mac, and the FAQ says the app does not collect data. An iOS version is in development, with a beta sign-up available.
