About
Archiver is a Mac app for working with archives. It lets you extract a wide range of formats, including RAR, Zip, and 7zip, plus dozens more. You can preview an archive's contents with QuickLook without extracting everything, and selectively unzip only the files you need. To save disk space, it can compress files and folders into high-yield formats, and it can create encrypted, password-protected archives with AES-256 to keep sensitive data private.
Archiver 5 also includes options to customize compression levels, output folders, and automatic archive removal after extraction. Drag and drop lets you add files or extract multiple archives at once, with archives unpacked in parallel. Large files can be split into smaller pieces of any size, optionally compressed or checksummed.
Archiver is built for Mac, has been developed since 2009, and runs natively on Apple Silicon. Archiver 5 requires macOS 26 (Tahoe).
