About
Sourcetree is a free Git client for Mac, also available for Windows, that simplifies how you work with your Git repositories so you can focus on coding. Its Git GUI lets you visualize and manage your repositories without the command line, which makes it approachable for beginners and helps teams get up to speed quickly. It also supports Mercurial, so you can work with Git and Mercurial on your desktop.
For experienced users, Sourcetree offers tools to review changesets, stash, and cherry-pick between branches. You can get information on any branch or commit with a single click, and stage and discard changes by file, hunk, or line. Detailed branching diagrams help you keep up with your team's progress. Sourcetree also supports Git-flow, Git Large File Support, submodules, local commit search, and interactive rebase, and it lets you search for and clone remote repositories from within the app.
Sourcetree includes comprehensive tutorials that cover branching, merging, and more, so you can learn Git as you use it. You can also sign up for the Sourcetree Beta Program to try new features and provide feedback to the Sourcetree team.
