About
Attic moves old screenshots and downloads into a folder on your Mac by themselves. There's no cloud, no account, and no uploads, and nothing is deleted. Screenshots are moved to the attic after two days, sorted by month, wherever macOS saves them, including your own screenshot folder or CleanShot and Shottr output. Other Desktop files stay put unless you say otherwise. Downloads are handled separately: installers move after two days, everything else after two weeks, and downloads still in progress are never touched.
Attic never deletes anything on its own. Files are moved to ~/Attic, and you can undo a whole sweep or bring back a single file. Tagging a file "Keep" leaves it where it is. When you need space, you can pick older items, such as installers for apps you already have or zips you've already unzipped, and send them to the Trash from Attic itself, but only when you say so. Sweeps run once a day at 9:00 by default, or you can set them to weekly or run them only when you ask.
Attic is a one-time purchase of $5 that covers 2 Macs, with a 14-day refund and free 1.x updates. It requires macOS 14 or later.
