AutoMounterHelper

AutoMounter Helper is a companion app designed to work with the Mac App Store version of AutoMounter. It enables shares to be mounted in /Volumes and other custom mount locations, and it is required to use the Pro Settings features of AutoMounter.

Installation is straightforward: download and open the disk image, then double-click the AutoMounterHelper app to install it. The current version is 1.10.1, released 2026-09-15, and it requires macOS 12 or later. Users on older macOS versions (10.12 to 12.0) can download AutoMounter Helper 1.5 from the website instead. The app can also be removed by opening the disk image, double-clicking the app, and selecting 'Uninstall'.

Version 1.10.1 includes bug fixes for mount handling, better handling of duplicate mounts and timeouts, and a fix for mounting shares that share the same name but use different protocols. It also resolves an issue where a share could remain stuck on 'Mounting...' indefinitely, along with additional bug fixes and performance improvements. The developer notes that some configurations may not have been fully tested and asks users to contact support@pixeleyes.co.nz if they encounter problems.
