About
BetterMacWidgets is a macOS 15+ app that puts desktop widgets right where you work. Ten essential widgets are free forever, and they float freely on the desktop with drag and drop and an invisible snap grid. The Pro version unlocks all 51 widgets, live weather, lock screen support and widget stacks, which let you drop one widget onto another of the same size to merge them into a single slot you can flick through.
The app covers a range of uses, including system monitoring with animated gauges for CPU, GPU, memory and disk, music playback control for Spotify and Apple Music, Reminders that sync back when you tick them off, and live weather based on Open-Meteo data. You can choose frosted, clear or liquid glass styling for each tile. Custom widgets can be built from templates or with an AI prompt, and each widget reads only the single address it names. The app is available in eight languages and includes no telemetry.
