About
Bome Network creates reliable, low-latency MIDI connections over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and is available for macOS, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, and iOS. It connects computers, mobile devices, and MIDI hardware across a network, and includes an integrated MIDI Router for controlling how MIDI data is routed between devices. Connections are persistent and reconnect automatically after a restart. It also works with the BomeBox, letting any MIDI application on your computer send and receive MIDI to and from the box, and giving access to MIDI devices connected to the BomeBox through Remote Direct MIDI.
Optional add-ons extend the app. Bome Network Pro enables computer-to-computer and iPhone/iPad MIDI connections, with automatic discovery of devices on the network and Remote Direct MIDI access to virtual and physical MIDI ports on remote machines. MIDI Translator BN lets you run Bome MIDI Translator Pro project files within Bome Network across macOS, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, iPhone, and iPad, though creating and editing projects still requires Bome MIDI Translator Pro. Unlimited Named MIDI Ports lets you create as many custom, named virtual MIDI ports as you need, which can be used in the MIDI Router and other MIDI applications and optionally exposed on the network.
Version 1.7.0, a free update, adds the MIDI Translator BN add-on, Network MIDI 2.0 (using MIDI 1.0), the ability to expose individual MIDI ports as Direct MIDI ports on the network, an improved interface, and a native 64-bit Windows application, along with stability improvements. The app supports macOS 10.13 through 26.
