Boom3D: Volume Booster and EQ

About

Boom 3D for Mac is an audio enhancement app that works system-wide to play your media with 3D surround sound on any headphones, from any player, media, or streaming service. The app supports 5.1 surround sound, and the site says you don't need expensive headphones or surround sound hardware to get the effect. It is aimed at movies, music, and games.

The app includes a 31-band equalizer for precise audio tuning, along with presets crafted for different genres and listening tastes. The Mac version also includes a system-wide volume booster that raises volume beyond its regular limits. A volume controller lets you set audio levels for individual applications.

Boom 3D also has a built-in audio player that plays locally stored songs with its effects and supports playlists. It provides free access to more than 20,000 internet radio stations across 120 countries. The app requires macOS 11 or later and can be tried free for 15 days.
