About
Brilliant is a professional 2D vector design tool where humans and AI agents work on the same canvas. It is described as a full Figma-class editor with direct manipulation, auto layout, components, design tokens, pen tool, boolean ops, and shaders. Brilliant also runs as an MCP server, so LLMs such as Claude Code or Cursor can read and write designs directly, and it can act as an MCP client as well.
The app works with real, fully editable vectors rather than mockups. Users can describe a design to generate vectors on the canvas, or describe a change to an existing design and have agents edit it in place. Design systems are supported through multi-mode tokens (such as light, dark, density, and contrast), OKLCH color ramps, and a plain-text DSL. Brilliant also offers a one-click round trip with Figma, letting designs move to Brilliant for agent editing and back again with layers, components, and styles intact. Exports include PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP, PDF, React, HTML, and MP4/MOV, and the app is available for macOS and Windows.
AI providers are connected by the user, including Claude Code, OpenAI's Codex, Claude, Gemini, OpenRouter, or a custom endpoint. The site states users bring their own keys and pay their own spend with no markup.
