About
Calyx is a native macOS terminal built on Ghostty for running and supervising coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Hermes, Grok, and pi in parallel. It keeps every agent visible and controllable through an Agents Sidebar that shows each agent as working, blocked, idle, or done, along with unread badges and click-to-focus navigation. An opt-in Approval Inbox collects permission prompts from Claude Code, Codex, always-approve Grok sessions, and pi tool calls into a single notification-style panel, where requests can be approved from a primary action or an Options menu.
Calyx also includes a Git sidebar for inspecting working changes and commit history, with the ability to comment on individual diff lines and send the full review directly to a supported agent pane. Agents can read panes, commands, and captured output through MCP and a bundled CLI, letting them coordinate work and wait for commands to finish. Calyx requires macOS 26 Tahoe or later on Apple Silicon, is MIT licensed, and can be installed with Homebrew or a manual download.
