About
Captain's Deck is a native dual-pane file manager for macOS, built with Swift and AppKit for Apple Silicon and Intel. It offers an orthodox-style interface with side-by-side directories, copy/move operations via function keys, and Vim-style or arrow-key navigation, so users can work largely from the keyboard.
The app includes an embedded terminal (a real PTY) that follows the active pane's directory via OSC 7, and it supports remote storage including SFTP, FTP, S3, and WebDAV, with credentials kept in the macOS Keychain. It also treats archives like ZIP, JAR, IPA, and APK as folders, and offers hybrid search combining Spotlight metadata with deeper grep.
Captain's Deck is positioned as an alternative to Finder, ForkLift, and Commander One for users who prefer keyboard control. It offers a 14-day full-feature trial, then a one-time €19.99 license, or a €69.99 team license covering 5 Macs.
