Capto is a Mac app for capturing, editing, and sharing visual content. It offers screen and web capture, letting you grab fullscreen views or selected areas, or save an entire webpage in one click. Screen and video recording run at a smooth 60 FPS with clear audio, and you can use external recording devices. You can also record an iPhone or iPad screen by connecting it to a Mac running Capto, then add a voiceover and edit the result.

Capto includes editing tools for both images and videos. The image editor lets you annotate, correct, and adjust captured screenshots, while the video editor helps refine screen recordings after capture. A dual audio editor lets you adjust system audio and microphone audio separately. Captures are organized into folders by default, and you can add custom rules to sort them into folders of your choice.

For sharing, Capto can upload screenshots and recordings to services such as Facebook, Tumblr, Dropbox, Evernote, and YouTube without leaving the app, and it supports your own FTP/SFTP setup. The app is localized in Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese. It is offered as a 15-day trial, with a premium version available for purchase to continue using it afterward.
