About
CaskHub is a free, open-source macOS app that lets you browse, search, install, update, and uninstall thousands of Mac apps distributed through Homebrew. It offers a native SwiftUI interface with original app icons, categories, popularity charts based on Homebrew's public install data, and one-click actions with live progress and cancellable downloads. Recently added apps and a Featured top 100 help you discover new software, and instant search covers names, tokens, and descriptions.
CaskHub works alongside the command line rather than replacing it. Installs, updates, and uninstalls run through your real brew binary, and installed-app detection reads receipts from your Caskroom, including apps you installed from the terminal. It can also adopt apps you installed from a DMG or another store so they are managed by brew, leaving the app in place. Smart update detection aims to show only real updates. Browsing the catalog does not require Homebrew to be installed; it is needed only to install apps.
CaskHub is available in light and dark themes, with Standard and Classic designs, and requires macOS 15.6 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel. It is MIT licensed with no subscriptions, premium tiers, or ads. Anonymous usage metrics are collected via TelemetryDeck, and users can opt out in Settings → Privacy.
