Cavalry is professional, real-time 2D animation software that is free for individuals with no restrictions or payment required. It runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel Macs, as well as Windows. Its real-time rendering lets you adjust a single value and watch entire systems respond, with no preview lag.

The app offers features for building depth and complex motion, including rig controls, rubber hose connections, color palettes, magic easing, text animation, a duplicator, data import from spreadsheets, Lottie export, and dynamics, falloffs, and quad tree tools. Cavalry is now provided through Canva, so a Canva account is required to access it. Existing Cavalry licence holders can keep using their legacy version or switch to the free Canva version for the latest updates.
