Change Vision's Astah Professional is a diagramming tool for creating UML diagrams, ER diagrams, flowcharts, data flow diagrams, and mind maps in one application. Users can draw a range of UML diagram types, including class, sequence, use case, activity, and state machine diagrams, and can build ER models from scratch or generate them by importing tables from an existing database. The software includes assist functions such as auto-layout, alignment guides, traceability maps, and project comparison and merging, and it supports exporting diagrams to JPEG, PNG, and SVG as well as copying into Microsoft Office documents.

Astah Professional also supports code generation and reverse engineering for Java, C#, and C++, along with generating PHP and SQL. Teams can lock and merge files, compare models, and access the Astah API and a library of plugins to customize the tool. AI features include Chat Copilot, a local MCP server for connecting external AI agents, and AI Code Reverse, which can auto-generate diagrams from prompts, requirements, or code.
