Chrome Remote Desktop

About

Chrome Remote Desktop is a companion extension for the Chrome Remote Desktop website that lets you install, view, and modify the Chrome Remote Desktop native client from the web interface. It allows users to remotely access another computer through the Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Computers can be made available for short-term scenarios such as ad hoc remote support, or for longer-term remote access to applications and files.

The service is described as fully cross-platform, enabling remote assistance for Windows, Mac, and Linux users, as well as access to Windows and Mac desktops from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks. The publisher states that all connections are fully secured.

The extension has a 3.8 out of 5 rating from about 3K ratings and is developed by Google Ireland, Ltd. Help and troubleshooting are available through Chrome's support pages.
