Claude for Mac is a desktop app that gives you access to all of Claude in one place. It works with your files and apps to help get things done, and it is accessible from your dock with quick entry for instant access from anywhere on your system.

The app pairs with the Claude mobile app, and your conversations, projects, memory, and preferences sync across your phone, desktop, and the web when you're signed in. You can start a task on your phone and hand it off to the desktop, or send coding tasks from your phone to the Claude Code CLI.

Claude Code runs directly in the desktop app, letting you preview running servers, review local code changes, and monitor pull request status. Desktop extensions connect Claude to your local tools and files, and Claude in Chrome can navigate and fill forms in your browser from the app. The app is available on all plan types, including Free, though some features require a paid plan.
