About
ClaudeBar is a macOS menu bar app that shows how much of your AI coding quota is left across tools such as Claude, Codex, Gemini, and Copilot, along with reset countdowns and a notification before you run out. Its listed providers also include Cursor, Kimi, AWS Bedrock, OpenRouter, and many others. You can install it with Homebrew or download a signed and notarized DMG, and it requires macOS 15 or later.
From the Settings screen you turn on the providers you use. The app can show all providers' tightest quotas together as rings or every quota as bars, and it can display up to three providers in the menu bar. Under each reset countdown, a forecast indicates whether the current pace will last until the window resets or run out first. Color levels for healthy, warning, critical, and depleted states can be customized, and a High Contrast option is available. Optional features include a MacBook notch display, a Touch Bar display, iPhone Lock Screen alerts through Notify!, and webhooks to Slack or a URL you own.
ClaudeBar also tracks daily usage with today's cost and tokens beside yesterday's, offers Dark, Light, CLI, Christmas, and Pop themes, and supports custom quota sources through an extension system that runs a script. Its claudebar:// URL schemes can be called from Raycast, Alfred, or scripts. The project is open source under the Apache-2.0 license.
