Clipaste is a privacy-first clipboard manager for macOS and Windows that keeps a secure, searchable history of everything you copy, including text, URLs, images, and files. It runs quietly in the background and is meant for developers, designers, and writers who want to organize snippets and retrieve past clips quickly. Features include smart search by typing words a clip contains, filtering by source app, pinning favorites, keyboard shortcuts for pasting earlier items, and drag-and-drop from history into other applications.

Clipaste is built on a local-only design: data is stored on your device rather than in the cloud, with no servers, user accounts, or tracking. History is encrypted at rest with AES-256 by default, with keys managed by the operating system's keychain. The app is free, with no ads or subscriptions, and is available in over twenty languages. It runs on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+, and Mac users can also install it through Homebrew.
