About
CodeMenu is a macOS app for storing and organizing your developer knowledge in one local-first workspace. It replaces scattered Markdown files, Apple Notes, and text files with a searchable library that works offline, supports semantic search, and covers code in 61 languages as well as prompts, images, design tokens, notes, and bookmarks. Spaces, tags, and a visual knowledge graph help you keep related artifacts connected.
CodeMenu also works with your AI tools. You can chat with your snippets using the built-in AI, or connect external agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code through its MCP server. It offers scriptable actions in JavaScript, a command-line tool (cdmn), a local HTTP server, and Shortcuts integration, so you can automate library maintenance and access snippets from other tools.
CodeMenu is available as a lifetime or monthly purchase with a 14-day free trial and requires macOS 13 or later. It does not require cloud sync or a subscription, and the website states that it works offline.
