About

Cookie is a Mac app for managing browser cookies, aimed at users who are tired of targeted ads that seem to know what they've been shopping for online. It is designed for macOS 14 and later, with macOS 14+ (Golden Gate recommended) listed as the requirement. According to the site, Cookie offers fine-grained cookie control: it supports keeping or removing specific cookies, offers manual and customizable removal schedules, and works with a long list of browsers, including Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Brave, Opera, and Edge.

The site positions Cookie as the more advanced option in the SweetP lineup, compared with Privatus, which is described as a basic, automatic privacy manager. Cookie is sold through the Mac App Store and the SweetP Store, and supports English, German, Dutch, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Turkish, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese, though the site's chart lists the language options under the two products in a way that is not fully clear. The site advises against running Cookie and Privatus together.
