Cookie is a privacy control app for macOS 14+ that gives you control over all cookie storage types, including HTTP cookies, HTML5 databases, localStorage, and IndexedDB, as well as browser history and caches. It works across many popular browsers, including Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Opera. After a quick initial setup, it protects your privacy from tracking and online profiling. It is simple enough for less technical users, while offering the depth that power users expect.
You can select favorite domains to keep, and configure favorites and removal schedules individually for each browser or globally for all browsers. Schedules can run daily, on quit, or on demand. Cookie also detects and removes tracking cookies, and includes features such as basic removal stats, global hotkey configuration, notifications, and iCloud support.
An optional Cookie Helper browser extension, available for Chrome and Firefox based browsers, adds one-click access to Cookie's privacy cleanup from your browser toolbar. The website states that the extension uses browser native methods to clear data, which it describes as a safer removal method. Safari is not currently supported by the extension.
