CrystalMaker is a Mac application for visualizing crystal and molecular structures. Its interactive design lets users build their own visual understanding of complex materials, and it goes beyond traditional crystallography software by supporting dynamic visualizations with rotatable animations. Version 11 runs natively on Apple Silicon.
CrystalMaker 11 includes an integrated crystal-energy modelling engine built on a library of parameterised potentials. Users can design and relax structures, including surfaces, in real time, predict vibrational properties such as phonons and infrared spectra, and simulate the effects of temperature and pressure. The software can also calculate physical and thermodynamic properties, such as density of states, elastic constants, and refractive indices.
