About
CursorSense is a Mac application that adjusts cursor acceleration and sensitivity. Macs' System Settings only let you change tracking speed (acceleration), while sensitivity is fixed by the OS, which makes it hard for many users to find a comfortable setting. CursorSense lets you adjust both values so the cursor moves in a way that feels like moving your hand, and it can also automatically snap the cursor to a destination such as an OK or Cancel button, with an option to return it to its original location afterward. Settings can be configured per device, and a Recommended Settings feature shows popular user configurations as a starting point. The site also suggests tuning for specific needs: setting acceleration to 0 for designers, approximating Windows cursor behavior for former Windows users, and lowering sensitivity for gaming mice. Built-in trackpad, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad do not support sensitivity changes. CursorSense is priced at US$9.99 with a 20-day unlimited trial; CursorSense 2 licenses are lifetime, with minor upgrades free and major upgrades charged.
