It supports FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, SMB, Amazon S3, OpenStack Swift, Google Cloud Storage, Backblaze B2, Microsoft Azure, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, Nextcloud, ownCloud, and other services. Its interface lets users connect to servers and cloud storage, with connection profiles available for popular hosting providers, and it can edit files with an external editor, copy or open HTTP URLs, and organize bookmarks.
The app offers a range of transfer and browsing tools, including recursive directory transfers, resumable uploads and downloads, synchronization between local and remote directories with a preview of changes, Quick Look previews, and Cryptomator-compatible client-side encryption. It is integrated with macOS and Windows features such as Keychain, Bonjour discovery, Finder, and the Notification Center.
Cyberduck is open source and licensed under the GPL, with its source code available on GitHub. The text also mentions a companion product, Mountain Duck, which mounts remote storage as a local disk in Finder or File Explorer.
