Daedalus Mainnet is an open source wallet for ada, the cryptocurrency of the Cardano blockchain. It is a full node wallet: rather than relying on light-wallet servers, it downloads a full copy of the Cardano blockchain and independently validates every transaction in its history, aiming for maximum security and trustless operation without centrally hosted third-party servers.

The app lets you manage any number of wallets using hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallet technology, giving you more control over how your funds are organized. It also includes back-up and restoration features for recovering your funds if necessary. Daedalus runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and is built with web technologies on top of Electron.

Other features include a newsfeed that delivers news inside the interface, either in a sidebar or full-screen for vital updates, and personalization through user interface themes, with 6 currently available.
