About
Dante Controller is a free app for Mac OS and PC that lets you route audio and video signals between all Dante-enabled devices on your network. Connections and configurations are saved directly to the devices themselves, so they remain stable through power cycles, device disconnection, and system reconfiguration. You can also give devices and media channels custom names, filter devices by name, sample rate, latency, and other parameters, and lock device configurations to protect connections from unintended disruption.
For monitoring, Dante Controller acts as a dashboard for your AV network's health. It shows multicast bandwidth across the network, custom event logs, and per-device details such as transmit and receive bandwidth, latency, clock stability, and packet errors. Sample rates and device clock settings can be configured, and the app identifies clock leaders and flags sample rate or connectivity issues. The app also connects to a library of firmware updates from Dante-enabled product manufacturers and can push them to your devices.
Dante Controller supports presets, so you can back up, restore, move, and reuse network configurations, and edit routing offline. Presets can be created with the companion Dante Preset Creator, a free online tool that does not require connection to Dante hardware, and then imported into Dante Controller once hardware is available.
