Dashcam Viewer is Mac and Windows software compatible with over 140 dashcam models. It automatically organizes the many video files stored on your dashcam's SD card, combines consecutive clips into Trip Lists, and lets you export portions of clips as short videos or images, or combine multiple videos into one. Audio Event Detection identifies sudden volume changes so events like collisions and horns are easy to find.
The app displays your trip data on screen as your video plays, including driving metrics, and shows your route on a map along with a dashboard of position, speed, direction, and time. Data plots show metrics such as speed and distance across a route, and clicking a graph jumps to that moment in the video. GPS data can be exported in several file formats, and custom Geotag markers help you locate specific points on a route.
The site positions Dashcam Viewer for accident documentation, personal travel memories, and Uber, Lyft, and fleet drivers who want to map efficient routes or pickup hotspots. A free version is available to try.
