About
DatWeatherDoe is a simple menu bar weather app for macOS, supporting macOS 13.0 and later. It can fetch weather using Location services or by specifying latitude and longitude, and its polling interval is configurable. The app also includes dark mode support.
The app can be installed via Homebrew Cask (brew install --cask datweatherdoe) or downloaded manually from the project's GitHub releases page. Using location features requires granting the app permission to access Location Services in macOS's Privacy settings.
The project notes that OpenWeatherMap API 2.5 support ends in June 2024, and the app uses WeatherAPI going forward with location support. Developers building from source need a personal WeatherAPI key, which is added to a Config.xcconfig file.
