About
DbSchema is a visual database management tool for designing and documenting database schemas, creating and running SQL queries, and exploring data visually across major relational and NoSQL databases. It supports ER diagram design, schema synchronization, and team collaboration, letting developers and data professionals manage complex databases. The app can connect to 100+ databases, whether they run locally, in the cloud, or behind a firewall, and works with systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Snowflake.
Design features include building ER diagrams from an existing database or sketching a logical model before choosing a database, plus tuning tables for the target database's data types, keys, indexes, and constraints. Schemas can be shared through Git, with merge support for conflicting edits, and published as HTML5 or PDF documentation. Querying features include a SQL editor with suggestions, a visual Query Builder, and an AI Assistant that writes queries from plain English. Users can also browse and edit data, import CSV, Excel, JSON, or XML files, and generate test data. Before changes reach a database, DbSchema reviews the model, compares it with live databases, and produces a SQL script for review.
DbSchema offers a free Community Edition that requires no signup, and a 15-day Pro trial is included.
