(Deep) HIARCS Chess Explorer is a Mac chess application combining a graphical user interface, a chess engine and game databases. It runs on Apple Mac computers with Intel, ARM and M-series processors, requires macOS 10.10 or later, and includes the single-core version of the HIARCS 14 engine. The engine offers playing strength from beginner level (about 750 Elo) up to World Champion strength (about 3050 Elo) with human-like play, and the interface is available in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

The program covers database management, game entry and annotation, player and opening exploration, and analysis. Users can handle PGN databases (with a single-database limit of 1.75 million games), explore openings through a multi-source opening tree with statistics, and analyse positions and games with multiple engines.
