About
Deskreen is a desktop app that turns any device with a web browser into a secondary screen for your computer over WiFi. It can mirror your entire computer display onto another device's screen, or limit sharing to a single application window, which is useful for presentations. Using Virtual Display Adapter, you can create a true extended desktop experience with your tablet or smartphone as a second screen.
Deskreen also offers a Flip Screen Mode that mirrors your computer screen horizontally in a tablet's or smartphone's browser, letting it work as a teleprompter or help you look at the camera during video conferences without any extra hardware. Multiple devices can connect at once, picture quality can be adjusted during a session, and the app works without cables or an Internet connection, using only a local Wi-Fi network.
Deskreen is free and open source, uses end-to-end encryption, and runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Its system requirements are modest, with about 210MB of disk space and 250MB of RAM for one sharing session, plus up to 100MB more for each additional session.
