About
DevCleaner is a Mac app for reclaiming disk space consumed by Xcode caches. Xcode can store tens of gigabytes in the ~/Developer folder, and much of that data is not cleaned up over time, which matters especially on Macs with smaller SSDs. DevCleaner lets you inspect the auto-generated files and clean them when needed, and it can remind you to scan again after a while.
The app covers several kinds of cache: Device Support symbols downloaded for each connected device OS version (by default, all versions except the latest of each system are selected), old archives that can be inspected and deleted, Derived Data such as build products and logs, cached documentation, old simulator and device logs, and old offline documentation downloads. The app is available on the Mac App Store and is tested with macOS 14.x and Xcode 15.x.
The developer notes that DevCleaner relies on internal folder structures and undocumented features, so it may stop working with newer Xcode versions. Making a backup before use is recommended.
