DevKinsta is a free local WordPress development suite available for macOS, Windows, and Ubuntu. It lets you create single or Multisite WordPress sites with a single click, running on Nginx and MariaDB, and provides local database and email management tools for building themes, plugins, and custom sites. When a site is ready to go live, it can be pushed directly to Kinsta.

DevKinsta is built for developers, agencies, designers, and freelancers. Developers can work in a local environment powered by Docker, which isolates and secures each site through containerization and, according to the site, offers a lower resource footprint and near-native performance compared to VirtualBox-based tools. Agencies can test plugin and theme updates locally before deploying to clients' production sites, clone client sites, and push changes to Kinsta. Designers can debug HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a local browser and clone sites for non-destructive testing. Freelancers can troubleshoot client sites offline and push work to a Kinsta staging environment before going live.

The app includes a built-in database manager, SMTP server, WP_DEBUG toggle, WP auto-updates toggle, and site cloning, with PHP 7.x and 8.x support. According to the site, it is used by over 60,000 developers, designers, and freelancers.
