DEVONthink is a Mac app for storing, organizing, and working with the many kinds of information you deal with daily, such as texts, PDFs, websites, images, emails, and spreadsheets. Documents are kept in databases on your Mac, where you can sort them into groups, add tags, create smart groups, and link related items together to build your own web of information. Built-in reminders help you find the right document at the right time, and you can also take notes in Markdown, plain text, or rich text, add annotations, and store multiple document versions with the ability to revert to earlier ones.

DEVONthink also includes AI features: a built-in assistant that suggests categories and helps with searching, support for online or local AI models for analyzing, summarizing, and tagging documents, and automation through smart rules and AppleScript or JavaScript for Automation (JXA). Your data is stored locally on your Mac rather than on the developer's servers, and synchronization between devices is encrypted. DEVONthink To Go extends access to iPad and iPhone, and DEVONthink Server lets team members access shared databases through a web browser. The app is offered in three editions and requires macOS Ventura or later.
