About
DockView adds window previews to the macOS Dock. Hover any app icon, including apps you forgot were open, to see live thumbnails of every open window with titles, then click the one you want to bring it to the front in the right Space. It works with Stage Manager, multiple displays, and full-screen Spaces, and it sits alongside your existing Dock without replacing it.
Beyond the Dock, DockView offers a window switcher opened with ⌥ Tab that shows every open window in a grid, carousel, or list, plus a numbered Dock option that lets you switch apps with a held key combination. A layout panel (⌥ ⌘ F) and snap layouts let you place windows into halves, thirds, quarters, and other arrangements, including a one-click option from the yellow window button and snapping while dragging.
DockView is built on Apple's ScreenCaptureKit and is described as lightweight, under 10 MB, with no ads, nags, or telemetry. It requires Accessibility permission to detect open windows, and previews are captured only when you hover the Dock.
