About
Dorso sits in your menu bar and watches your posture using your webcam or AirPods. When you slouch, a subtle on-screen overlay nudges you to sit up straight, and no wearables or special hardware are needed.
To get started, sit up straight and click calibrate, and Dorso learns your ideal posture in seconds. You can choose webcam tracking, which uses your Mac's built-in camera to detect head position, or AirPods tracking, which uses the head tracking sensors in AirPods Pro or AirPods Max and works even with the lid closed. Overlay styles include Blur, Glow, Border, and Solid, each with an intensity setting.
Dorso also tracks your progress with a daily posture score, weekly and monthly trends, daily monitoring time, and slouch statistics. All processing happens locally on your Mac, with no account, no cloud services, and no data collection. Dorso is fully open source.
What's new
All release notesDorso 1.16 goes where you go! - New: Desks. Save a separate calibration for each place you work, like home, university, and the office, and switch between them with one key instead of recalibrating - New: Timed pause. Take a 5, 10, 30, or 60 minute break from the menu bar and Dorso turns itself back on - Settings profiles can now be renamed - Calibration now waits for the camera to start, and a blur no longer lingers on screen while you recalibrate - Plugging in or unplugging a monitor now restores that setup's saved calibration
