Dropshare is a Mac app that lets you upload files, screenshots, screen recordings, and other content to your chosen storage provider and share them immediately with a link. You can drag and drop files onto the menu bar app, use a keyboard shortcut, the share menu, or Shortcuts automation. Uploads go directly from your Mac to the accounts and servers you configure, including consumer cloud drives, S3-compatible object storage, image hosts, and protocols such as SFTP, FTP, SCP, and WebDAV. You can add several destinations and choose where each upload goes, for example separating personal and work files.

The app includes built-in tools for capturing and annotating screenshots, recording your screen as 24/60 FPS video or animated GIF with optional audio and webcam, and optionally encrypting files before they are sent to supported storage. Dropshare also offers customizable landing pages, an upload history that can sync across your macOS and iOS devices, and over 30 preferences to tailor the app to your workflow. Optional AI features can suggest filenames for screenshots based on their content, using limited free usage or your own OpenAI API key. Dropshare is available as a native macOS app with a companion iOS app, and a free 7-day trial is offered.
