About
Dropzone is a Mac app that redefines drag and drop, speeding up file transfers, simplifying app launches, and integrating with many services to streamline your workflow. Version 5 brings a redesigned interface with a cleaner grid layout, multiple grids you can switch between instantly, and deeper grid customization, including control over columns and layout. Folder-based actions display the custom icons and colors set in Finder, and a dz command line tool lets you run actions, add files to Drop Bar, and switch grids from the terminal.
Dropzone offers built-in actions for file management (rename, move, copy, AirDrop), apps and automation (launching apps, creating notes, running Shortcuts), media (resizing and compressing images, downloading videos), and cloud and storage (SFTP, Amazon S3, Imgur, URL shortening). Drop Bar temporarily holds files you can drag to other applications or Dropzone actions, and a keyboard shortcut or the Sharing menu lets you open Dropzone from any app. Additional actions can be installed from within the app, and developers can build their own in Ruby or Python.
Dropzone 5 requires macOS 13 or later and is available for a one-time purchase, with a 14-day trial of Pro features, and through Setapp or the Mac App Store.
