Duplicate File Finder is a Mac app for cleaning up duplicate files, duplicate folders, and similar photos. You can scan any disk or folder, including your Home folder, Photos and Music libraries, external disks, and cloud storage such as iCloud, Dropbox, and Google Drive. Scans can be limited by file extension type and size, and an Auto Select option helps quickly choose useless copies for removal.

Beyond finding duplicates, the app can merge folders, compare folders to detect ones that contain both unique and identical files, and clear similar photos and songs in your libraries. A Compare Files feature performs a byte-for-byte comparison between two items to confirm whether they are exact duplicates. The app also offers settings such as finding hidden duplicates, skipping specific folders, confirming before deletion, viewing removal history, and restoring deleted duplicates from the Trash.

Duplicate File Finder is available free on the Mac App Store, with a Pro version offering additional features. It supports English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Italian, and Ukrainian.
