Duplicate File Finder is a duplicate cleaner for Mac that removes duplicate files, duplicate folders, and similar photos to free up disk space. It can scan your Home folder, Photos and Music libraries, external disks, and cloud storage such as iCloud, Dropbox, and Google Drive. You can also specify the file extension types and sizes to scan.
Selection tools include Auto Select, which helps quickly choose useless copies, and bulk selection within particular folders. You can preview duplicate photos, music, videos, and other file types before removing them. The app can also merge folders, compare folders to find ones that contain both unique and identical files, and review and clear similar photos and songs. The Compare Files feature performs a byte-for-byte comparison between two items to show whether they are exact duplicates.
The app confirms before deleting, lets you view the removal history, and restores deleted duplicates from the Trash. It is available free on the Mac App Store, with a Pro upgrade for users who need additional features and advanced options. It requires macOS 11.0 or later.
